Student of law
Amelia Boyden is currently a masters student in the Netherlands where she is studying Public International Law and is specialising in conflict and security. Prior to this she was in Lesvos, where she was a humanitarian aid worker in the “New Moria” refugee camp for 5 months. Also while she was in Greece she volunteered with an NGO to help the Roma Community, who are left with no running water, shelter or sanitation. For her undergraduate she completed Law in University College Cork, Ireland. During her time of living in Ireland she volunteered with Trócaire and Bridge to Resources, Integration & Justice (BRIJ). Trócaire work in partnership with communities in over 20 countries to relieve poverty and tackle injustice. BRIJ aid those who are living in Direct Provision, which is a system of asylum seekers accommodation used in the Republic of Ireland.
